Countdown – Erin Sheckard Blog 4

October has come and gone, and now it’s time to wind down the semester and ramp up the work. (Though it feels closer to summer than it does to winter.) The Halloween postings were successful and fun, bringing together the department for the holiday. From here on out, I personally will be focused on end projects for classes and shooting for that ever-closer goal of graduation.

When it comes to the final project for this course, I have not given it as much thought as I should have. I’m playing with the idea of doing something creative and relevant to my interests, possibly a creative nonfiction essay. I would also like to incorporate women and gender studies and queer theory since it’s been a bit since I flexed that certain academic muscle.

I’m looking forward to the end of this semester. It’s been my most fulfilling one since I started here at Duquesne. Even though there’s a limited amount of time left, there is so much left to do. Once more unto the breach.
